Meet Angel: the adorable kitty saved by kind-hearted Maltese volunteers
She was “found on the brink of death”

A round of applause for these guys! The animal superheroes at CLAWS – Cat Lovers Adoptions, Welfare & Support came to the rescue last week when they were contacted to help “a small kitten found on the brink of death in Burmarrad,” they posted to Facebook. Poor kitty!

“With the help of one of our kind volunteers, we arranged to pick her up and rush her to the vet. She was severely dehydrated and not interested in food,” they said. “She was given drip and after spending a few days at the clinic being monitored and treated, she was discharged and is now slowly growing into a beautiful sweet and loving girl.” You go, kitty!

The volunteers have named her Angel, and what a sweetie she is! And guess what! Angel has already found a loving foster home. “Our plea for help with fostering was answered by an amazing young lady, who took little Angel under her wing, and is now fostering her till she is big and strong enough to be adopted. One of her eyes is most likely lost due to the severe flu, but we are hopeful, and Angel is nothing but a fighter!” they say.

CLAWS had an important message to share at the end of their post, after thanking Pets and Vets for their help and support with such cases. “We hope other people will come forward and help with fostering. Together we can make a difference.”
