Mark your calendars! A weekend full of fun is in store at this three-day festival in Gozo
Gozo is coming alive this May! A three-day festival titled Gozo Alive is one of the most recent events to be added to Gozo’s vibrant cultural calendar, and this cultural bonanza will combine the creative arts with local culture and history, giving visitors a taster of Malta’s sister isle’s cultural life.
Gozo is known for its appeal to all ages, from the adrenaline seeker to the history buff and opera fan, to families with young children. It’s an island with promises of entertainment and fun, and this event embodies just that!
The action-packed (and free!) family festival has something for everyone. Gozo Alive’s 2018 edition brought live music and dance, historical re-enactments, fashion shows, film screenings, and even abseiling sessions. And organisers say that this year’s event promises to be even better!
Activities will peak on Saturday night. when Victoria’s streets and squares will be hosting top local and foreign entertainers, delighting visitors and presenting Gozo in a unique, exciting way.
And if you're heading to Gozo in the coming weeks, make sure to check these fab activities out too!
Outdoor sports
Gozo is the ultimate green gym that's packed with fun challenges to overcome. Whether you’re a runner looking to challenge yourself as you run in the sun or a thrill seeker wanting to kayak, rock climb, zip-wire or flyboard. Malta’s sister isle will get your adrenaline pumping.
Easter in Gozo
Easter is just around the corner, and what better way to get away from it all than a fine weekend in Gozo? Easter is an emotive and inspirational time to experience Gozo life. Enjoy the unspoiled beaches around the island and share in the devotion of the Gozitans as they mark the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus by participating in festive processions, live Passion re-enactments and religious ceremonies.
Gozo Alive will be held on between 3rd and 5th May in Victoria, Gozo.
