Maltese weather expert predicts less heatwaves for the upcoming summer in Malta & Gozo

In a recent television interview with TVAM, weather expert Samuel Cutajar has predicted that less heatwaves and extreme temperatures are expected next summer when compared to the previous summer.

Samuel explained that the temperatures should remain steady and will more or less only vary between 30°C to 35°C.

This is due to a geological phenomenon known as El Niño that occurs every three years and effects the climate of the whole world.

The weather expert also predicted that cooler temperatures are expected to persist till mid-April before the typical spring weather kicks in. This is a result of cold air that is making its way down from Scandinavia.
