We’ve got another rising Maltese star in the making! Nine-year-old Yulan Law will be representing Malta in New Wave next month, a singing festival currently being held in Artek, Russia.

Yulan will be performing two songs: an original and a cover version. Her journey in this competition started off alongside another 100 contestants! 24 participants proceeded to the next stage, and she’s currently with the final 11 set to perform in the final stage, opening the show.

This is third time that our islands are being represented at this festival. Back in 2015, Gaia Cauchi competed and took home the gold, and a year later Ela Mangion attended the festival and came in second.
