Michela will be hitting the stage first.

Malta will be opening the 64th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest after yesterday’s running order for the 26 participating countries was announced. The is the first time ever in Eurovision history that our islands will be singing first. There’s a first time for everything, I guess – even winning! #FingersCrossed

Michela will be kicking off the show with her pop tune, Chameleon, that is stuck in everyone’s head (whether they like it or not!) Last night’s 10 qualifying countries, Tuesday’s 10 qualifying countries, the Big Five and the hosting country will be hitting the stage one by one in the hopes of claiming the title.

During tomorrow’s Eurovision final, last year’s winner Netta is expected to perform, as well as the Israeli pop singer Dana International. But the performance everyone is waiting for? The one and only Queen of Pop, Madonna, will be hitting the stage while voting is ongoing. The original Material Girl will be singing the 1989 hit Like A Prayer, and a new song from her repertoire, Future. After she finally signed the contract to perform on the Eurovision stage, we are getting ready to vogue the HECK out of tomorrow night.

Malta will be performing in the final after a two-year absence. The last time we hit the Eurovision final stage was in 2016 with Ira Losco’s Walk on Water. We’re sure Michela will do a fab job. Here’s wishing her all the luck in the world!
