This major infrastructural intervention came with an investment of €180,000.
Ġnien Brejġu in Żejtun has been revitalised following a major infrastructural intervention funded through a Local Government Division scheme, with an investment of €180,000. The project has transformed the garden into a more welcoming and functional recreational space for the community, featuring a new children’s play area, landscaping improvements, and the planting of trees and shrubs.
A newly developed recreational section within the garden has been named in honour of Dun Anġ Seychell, one of Żejtun’s most generous benefactors. Dun Anġ Seychell, remembered for his compassion and lifelong dedication to supporting vulnerable individuals and people with disabilities, leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and generosity that continues to inspire the community.
Although smaller than other parks, this garden plays a significant role by providing families and elderly residents with a peaceful place to relax.
The garden was originally established in the 1980s and named after Consiglio “Brejġu” Ellul and it remains an important landmark that continues to serve Żejtun’s residents for generations to come.
