Much to this cooler temp-lover’s delight, Autumn might be landing earlier than expected on the Maltese Islands this year.

According to local weather site Malta Weather, “rain showers that may be thundery at times” are expected “to pass across the central Mediterranean from this coming Sunday till Friday.”
Isolated showers are mostly forecast for next week, but heavier rain is expected on Tuesday. Maximum temperatures will reach about 28°C, but will hit 18 and 19°C on certain days. UV Indexes will be going down to 5 and 6.

Locals seem to be on Team Autumn too, as many Facebook users have commented that they’re totally over the summer heat and will embrace cooler temps and rainy day feels with open arms. I’m right there with ya! And if you were thinking of washing your car, don’t bother now! It can wait another week.
