Malta’s national Kudo team wins NINE medals at the International Kudo Cup tournament
The tournament was organised in Lithuania.

A total of nine Maltese athletes have come back from the Kudo Cup International tournament as medal winners.

The tournament, which was held in Kaunas, Lithuania brought out the very best of Malta’s excellent athletes.

Nichita Mazurchevici, Nick Vassallo, Matvei Petrovskii, Khasan Abdukhamidov and Jacob Abela took home the crown and won gold.

Amedeo Di Monaco, Thy Azzopardi and Emil Karapetyan took home silver medals whilst Milana Manilova was awarded the bronze.

Thy Azzopardi was even awarded an extra prize as he also won ‘The Will To Win’ award for the “outstanding willpower” he showed.

The whole team showed a high level of technique, unbending will and was able to fulfill all the coaching instructions”, Kudo Malta wrote on their social media.

The result of this was that all 9 athletes of the delegation became prize-winners!”, they continued.

Many thanks to the Lithuanian Kudo Federation and personally to Vilius Tarasevičius for organizing a high-level tournament and for a warm welcome! Labai ačiū!”, they continued.

They sure made Malta proud!
