Air Malta is carrying out safety checks before the plane is ready to take off again.
Air Malta have taken to social media to advise the public that the flight KM612, operating from Malta to Rome has experienced a bird strike during its descent into the Fiumicino Airport.
As a result, the aircraft may have experienced some damage and therefore Air Malta have informed the public that they are re currently “undergoing precautionary technical and safety checks”.
Due to the safety checks, flight KM613 from Rome to Malta that was supposed to depart at 10:10am has been delayed indefinitely until the aircraft is safely ready to fly again.
“The airline is doing its utmost to operate the flight as soon as possible”, Air Malta expressed.
