Malta Public Transport have announced additional services for the 1^st May in order to cater for additional demand for this public holiday.

On May 1st, 2023, besides the regular schedule, Malta Public Transport will operate the additional services on several routes as follows:

Route 1 - Isla will operate five additional trips at 11:50am, 12:50pm, 1:50pm, 2:50pm and 3:50pm with the trips leaving from Valletta A2 at 12:25pm till 5:25pm every hour.

Route 31 – Bugibba will operate six additional trips starting at 11:25am till 4:25pm departing every hour. Conversely the trip back from Valletta B5 will start at 12:25pm with buses leaving the bay every hour till 5:25pm.  

Route 46 – This route from Valletta B8 will depart at 11:15am till 5:15pm and operate a service every hour. Conversely bus trips to Gharghur will be at 11:45am till 5:45pm leaving every hour.

Route 48 – Bugibba will start from 11:30am and operate every hour till 4:30pm. Return trips will run every hour from Valletta B5 from 12:35pm till 5:35pm.

Route 49 – Ghadira will start from 12:15pm till 4:15pm operating every hour, with return trips from Valletta B6 starting from 11:05am till 5:05pm.

Route 51 – Mtarfa will run from 11:15am and depart every hour till 4:15pm. Return trips from Valletta C2 will run from 12:15pm till 5:15pm every hour.

Route 61 - will depart from Valletta C4 from 11:45am every 30minutes till 5:15pm. Conversely trips from bus stop Kandlora Zebbug will depart every 30minutes starting from 11:35am till 5:35pm.

Route 62 - will depart from Valletta C5 from 11:50am every hour till 4:50pm with return trips towards Siggeiwi starting from 11:28am till 5:28pm departing every hour.

Route 71 - from Zurrieq will depart at 11:40am every hour till 4:40pm. The bus will depart from Valletta A4 at 1pm every hour on the hour till 5pm.

Route 82 - towards Birzebbuga will depart at 11:15am till 4:16pm with departures every hour. The return trip from Valletta A7 will depart from 12:10pm and operate every hour till 5:10pm.

Route 84 – Zejtun will run from 11:25am every hour till 3:25am, while the return trip from Valletta A8 will commence from 12:40pm and run every hour till 4:40pm.

Route 91 – From Marsaskala, the bus will depart at 11am and run till 4pm with a bus departing every hour on the hour. From Valletta A11, the bus will depart at 12:05pm and will be operated every hour till 5:05pm.

Malta Public Transport is encouraging everyone to make use of its services and Park & Ride facilities to avoid traffic congestion and parking difficulties.
