Malta listed among top 30 most expensive countries worldwide & we're not surprised
It’s official! Malta is among the most expensive countries in the world according to a report by CEOWORLD magazine which lists a total of 132 countries based on how expensive they are to live in as of this year.

A little bit about the report
“To identify the world’s most and least expensive countries to live in, CEOWORLD magazine collected and reviewed data from dozens of studies; consumer price index; Numbeo Cost of Living Index; numerous national; and international media reports. CEOWORLD magazine based its assessment on a range of living costs, such as accommodation, clothing, taxi fares, utility, internet, the price of groceries, transport, and eating out. The rankings are based on five major metrics: cost of living, rent, groceries, eating out and purchasing power.”

The results
Surprise, surprise, Switzerland is the most expensive country in the world to live in, followed by Norway, Iceland, Japan and Denmark, making up the top five. Malta is ranked at number 26, followed by the UK, Italy, Germany and Macao. And judging by the general feel of the population at the mo, it’s no surprise that Malta ranks so high in this regard.

On the other hand, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan ranked as the world’s most affordable country, including Afghanistan, India, Syria, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tunisia.
