The MADC Playhouse is set to charm audiences next month with an adaptation of Neil Simon's 'Brighton Beach Memoirs', running from October 18th to 20th and 25th to 27th at 7.30pm.

Brighton Beach

This semi-autobiographical play follows a Jewish teenager from a Polish immigrant family living in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, during the Great Depression. As he navigates the trials of puberty and first crushes, he also contends with the challenges of growing up in an overcrowded, underprivileged household - infused with the humour that arises when an overworked, hilariously quirky family is packed under one roof.

The cast, directed by Tyrone Grima, features well-established Maltese stage actors such as Antonella Axisa, Edward Caruana Galizia, and Erica Muscat, alongside emerging talents like Leah Grech (known for her role in 'Matilda the Musical'), Thea Costa, Bernard Zammit, and X-Factor semi-finalist Luke Chappell.
