Malta “a gorgeous summer dream” according to online platform Brit + Co
The digital media powerhouse also lists “why it should be on your bucket list as the most Instagram-worthy summer getaway.”

It’s always nice when someone showers you with compliments. And that's just what Brit + Co, an American based digital media company reaching over 175 million people, is doing to Malta, recently calling the archipelago an “under-the-radar Mediterranean destination” and “a gorgeous summer dream”.

Describing the Maltese islands as “home to turquoise grottoes and sandstone cliffs, walled cities, and cobblestone streets”, the article says that, despite its beauty and Hollywood credentials, it remained “undiscovered by newlyweds, bachelorettes and that friend of a friend who always seems to have Summer Fridays”.

The site lists the top ten places to visit, proving why the islands “should be on your bucket list as the most Instagram-worthy summer getaway”. These include Paradise Bay which “looks like a Gray Malin photograph, with rows of pastel umbrellas overlooking a cerulean sea”; the Salt Pans of Xlendi “so surreal and beautiful it feels like you’ve landed on Mars”; and the Blue Grotto, whose “brilliant shades of turquoise reflect off the cave walls, while shades of red, green, and yellow glow from underwater.” It also recommends taking a ride in a luzzu, posing the question: “who wants a gondola on a Venetian canal when you could cruise around the harbor of Valletta on a luzzu?” Well, we couldn't agree more!

They also recommend visiting Mdina and St Paul’s Island, as well as Dwejra and Qbajjar sandstone cliffs in Gozo, advising readers to “keep an eye out for carvings etched into the eroding faces of the cliffs.” Valletta also basks in the yellow glow of praise as its link to culture – and film - is highlighted, with the article noting the number of Hollywood movies shot in its “narrow cobblestone streets”, saying “it’s not hard to see why so many filmmakers have been inspired by the city”.
