Transport Malta has issued guidance for vehicle owners who lost their registration plates during Storm Harry. Many drivers have reported missing plates following the severe weather, and Transport Malta has outlined a straightforward process to replace them.

Owners should complete and sign the VEH 39 form, ensuring it is signed by the vehicle owner. In Section F, include the unique number from any remaining plate, found under the hologram. A €43 replacement fee applies, payable by card or cheque.

New plates are issued immediately at Transport Malta offices in Lija and Paola, which are open Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 14:30.

A police report is not required unless the lost plates are customised.

Drivers affected by Storm Harry can now quickly replace their registration plates and get back on the road without unnecessary delays, ensuring vehicles remain legally registered and safe to drive.
