'Lost Paradise': A temporary exhibition in Gozo exploring the idea of searching for an elusive dream world
It’s all happening on Friday 6th September at 7.30 pm.
Art enthusiasts rejoice! On the 6th of September, Il-Ħaġar Museum in Victoria, Gozo, will reveal a new temporary exhibition titled ‘Lost Paradise’ by renowned artists Henry Alamango and Galina Troizky.

As summer fades into autumn, this thought-provoking exhibition explores the idea of searching for paradise, inspired by John Milton's epic poem ‘Paradise Lost’. The artists delve into the human tendency to chase an elusive ‘paradise’ elsewhere while overlooking the beauty and fulfilment that may already exist in our immediate surroundings.
‘Lost Paradise’ is a reflective examination of how this pursuit often leads to the abandonment of our roots, identity, and community, raising questions that resonate deeply with modern audiences. The exhibition challenges visitors to reconsider their notions of the ‘good life’ and to appreciate the paradise that may already be within reach.

The opening ceremony will take place on the 6th of September at 7.30 pm. Following the inauguration, an exclusive reception will be held at The Roof at Il-Ħaġar for a limited number of guests, with reservations required.
The exhibition will run until Sunday, 10th November 2024, and admission to the museum is free. For further details or to RSVP, please email [email protected].
