Look up! This beautiful Valletta building shows off incredible architecture & design
An architectural gem!

Jillian Mallia

A local artist and illustrator, Steve Bonello shared a magnificent photo on his Facebook page of an old yet utterly beautifully-designed building in Valletta.

Located in Archbishop Street, the building seems a little dilapidated and in need of maintenance, but that doesn’t stop us from looking at the jaw-dropping designs on its facade.

Many people who commented on Steve’s post noted that they make it a point to look up and around when walking through Malta’s capital, seeing as a number of gems lie hidden in the city’s walls. “Its unfortunate that many buildings require urgent maintenance and nothing is done although some are getting new life and restored beautifully!” said one local. “Valletta would look and feel much better if all of us appreciate what our ancestors left us!”

Remember to look up – but try not trip over too!
