Those locals aged between 75 and 80 will start receiving their vaccine invitation letter from next week, Health Minister Chris Fearne has announced.

In a television interview on Pjazza, Fearne said that the vaccination of the elderly and vulnerable persons is moving along swiftly. Those aged over 85 have practically all been given the jab (some are still in the process as they cannot leave their homes). Over two thirds of those aged over 80 have received their vaccine.

"From the end of this week to the beginning of next week those persons aged between 75 and 80 will start receiving the vaccine invitation letter with their appointment so that in about two weeks' time, they'll start receiving the vaccine, too," Fearne said.
