Local pays tribute to kindly police officer sheltering school children from the rain
“He spent half an hour shepherding children to school from their parents’ cars.”

A photo uploaded to social media by a grateful local pays tribute to a kindly police officer who sheltered children from the rain with his umbrella as they made their way to school this morning.

The photo, which was picked up by the Malta Police Force, was captioned “Ma tistax ma tirringrazzjax lil dal pulizija talli ghamel nofs sija iwassal it tfal sa l iskola mil karozzi tal genituri taghhom Prosit u grazzi Police.” (“You can’t not thank this police officer for spending half an hour ferrying children to school from their parents’ cars. Well done and thank you Police.”

Quoting their mission to “provide a professional and trusted policing service to ensure safety and security in partnership with the community”, the Malta Police Force wrote that the local’s message perfectly describes this.

A big well done to this kindly officer, who went out of his way to help kids get to school safe and dry whilst performing his school-shepherding duties!
