Smooth travel! Heritage Malta ensures easy access in Birgu for Museums by Candlelight

Heritage Malta has ensured that visitors to Museums by Candlelight in Birgu, on Saturday 18th April, can enjoy a seamless and enjoyable journey throughout the evening. Transportation options have been extended to make travel convenient for everyone attending this special event.

The Valletta–Bormla ferry and Barrakka Lift will remain in service until midnight, while Upper Barrakka Gardens will stay open to facilitate easy access between locations.

For a more traditional experience, the iconic Dgħajjes tal-Pass boats will continue operating between Valletta and Birgu, offering a scenic and authentic ride along the waterfront.

Museums by Candlelight Heritage Malta

Those travelling by car can take advantage of parking at Fortini Ground in Birgu. Taxi users are encouraged to book in advance (by noon on 17th April) to receive a discount code valid for Bolt, Uber, and eCabs.

Visitors are reminded to wear comfortable footwear, as the event involves walking between multiple museum sites to fully enjoy the candlelit atmosphere.

Whether arriving by ferry, traditional boat, car, or taxi, guests can focus on exploring the historic streets and illuminated museums without any travel worries.
