Local orgs band together to help mistreated dogs found at Zebbug farm this week
“We’ll be walking them and giving them lots of love and cuddles.”

Rescued is my Favourite Breed – Malta will be lending a helping hand (or paw!) to Animal Welfare in caring for the dogs that were found chained, abused, neglected and starved at a Zebbug farm.

Earlier this week mistreated animals, including dogs, rabbits, chickens and a pigeon were found on a Zebbug farm, thanks to an anonymous call made to Animal Welfare. The animals were in bad shape, living in horrendous conditions on the farm. Reportedly, the farmer responsible is being charged in court and the animals are with Animal Welfare.

The organisation thanked Animal Welfare for their work earlier this week and gave their two cents on the matter in a new Facebook post. “No more pain angels. Now you are free. AND we promise you – We will shower you with love every day until we find you special families who will show you what it is really like to LIVE.”

“May the sorry excuse for a human being who did this to you get what he deserves, not only legally. May karma find you and make you suffer as you did these innocent voiceless souls,” they said, condemning animal abuse.

We spoke to Lou from Rescued is my Favourite Breed – Malta who told us that the dogs are in the care of Animal Welfare but they “will be walking them and giving them lots of love and cuddles” that they totally deserve. Lou also said they will help with rehoming the pooches once they’re health has recovered.

In their Facebook post, the organisation also encouraged locals to consider giving a forever home to abandoned dogs. “If you have been thinking long and hard about adopting and wish to give a second chance to life to a dog that has been through hell and back, please contact us.”
