Local establishments go the extra mile to provide food for people on Corona frontline
The Maltese community's kindness is shining through

Caroline Curmi

The Coronavirus has created havoc across all the world, and Malta was no exception. Establishments were the first to be negatively impacted, with clients abandoning the streets to remain their home.

However, one local establishment took to Facebook to announce a kind initiative: "Hey folks, we HATE seeing good food go to waste, so we're packing up some nourishing and delicious meals to give out to our unsung heroes at this time; pharmacists ❤️ tag your local pharmacists below and we'll make sure to pop by most of their pharmacies 🤗🤗" they wrote on their Facebook page.

Another establishment followed a similar trajectory who this morning delivered several crates of food for A&E staff at Mater Dei.

What a beautiful thought!

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
