The shutdowns are scheduled “for the 11th and 14th March, between 1am and 4.30am,” the airport announced. “The outages will enable the Company to safely conduct works as part of an electrical infrastructure upgrade and ensure the successful completion of this important modernisation exercise.”

“Whilst the shutdowns are not expected to impact flights and airport guests, Malta International Airport would like to inform the public that most of the terminal and car park lighting will be affected. Additionally, some of the lifts and escalators around the terminal will be out of order, while certain services will not be available during the outages.”
