If you thought last month was unusually cold, you were not wrong.

Turns out that 2022 brought about the coldest March that Malta experienced in three-and-a-half decades!

Local weather page It-Temp Madwarna took to social media to inform followers that March 2022’s average temperature was 12.6°C.

The temperature reached highs that were around 2.2 ° C colder than average and lows that were about 2.1 ° C colder than usual.

Malta’s coldest March was recorded in 1953, when the average temperature was 11.4°C. Conversely, the warmest Maltese March on record is that of 2001, when the average temperature was 16.9°C.

Did you feel the cold?
