Kiss that clean car goodbye! Blood rain and blustery winds head for Malta this week
This muggy weather is called 'ċlampu' in Maltese.

The start of February has brought some sun to our skies – greatly missed by many, after a couple of stormy weeks – but that might be changing soon!

While tomorrow (Tuesday 3rd February) should be warm and mainly sunny, Wednesday is expected to bring force 7 winds and the chance of dreaded blood rain (read: rain that contains desert dust) – not great news for anyone who’s recently washed their cars or windows.

While the wind should be calmer by Thursday, the rest of the week is expected to be fairly cloudy, ending with quite a bit of rain on Sunday 8th February. So enjoy the sun while it lasts!

Despite the unsettled conditions, temperatures are expected to be on the higher end, hitting a maximum of 20°C on Friday, even as moderate winds persist.

Maybe hold off on that car wash for now?
