Malta International Airport continues to slay the game, this time at the World Routes Awards. Malta’s airport was not only highly commended, but also placed second in the category of airports hosting between four and 20 million passengers per year. #Slayit
The winners were announced at Adelaide Convention Centre in Australia which saw the presence aviation stakeholders and experts from all around the world. Such awards aim to recognise excellence and creative innovation in airline route development and marketing, and Malta's airport was among them!
“It is a proud moment to have our route development achievements recognised on the world stage,” Malta International Airport CEO Alan Borg said in a statement. This recognition encourages us to continue working closely with government and the Malta Tourism Authority, our partner airlines, and the rest of the airport team to keep widening the Maltese islands’ network, while ensuring that sustainable results remain a measure of our success.” YAS!
