It’s Malta’s turn now: Kappara Junction lit up for Pink October
Looks pretty AND powerful!

Every October, a larger amount of institutions pledge their support to the social campaign that seeks to promote cancer awareness. This year, Pink October has seen several structures using pink lights as a way of raising awareness of the cause. Earlier this month, we saw the Xewkija Local Council light up their façade pink, followed by an old spring in Fontana, Gozo, being lit up in a similar fashion.

Gozo’s forward stance has now been duplicated in Malta, and what better way to express sweeping support for cancer awareness than to incorporate the concept into one of the island’s main arteries?

The Kappara Junction was yesterday night spotted looking rather different to its usual tame aesthetic, with its grey underbelly transformed into a vision in pink.

Have you spotted any other structures lit up pink for cancer awareness month?

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
