We’re well into October and Breast Cancer Awareness month is in full swing, with various companies, organisations and government entities showing their support throughout this month. And this Gozitan local council found a creative way to join in.

Following ix-Xewkija Local Council lighting up their premises pink last week, il-Fontana Local Council are also lighting it up pink, but instead shining a light on this historical site.

“Il-Fontana Local Council joins #PinkOctober campaign to raise awareness on breast cancer prevention,” their Facebook post read, featuring snaps of ancient springs in this Gozitan town lit up gorgeously. The springs can be found at the top of the hill leading down to Xlendi Bay, so if you’re ever in the area at night this October, be sure to stop and stare (and take a few snaps) of these historical sites.
