After what felt like a never-ending (and weirdly harsh) winter, the Maltese islands are finally welcoming spring with open arms.
This season’s commencement is marked by the March equinox – also known as the spring equinox – which is when the sun crosses the equator line, heading north.
The March equinox therefore marks the beginning of spring for the Northern Hemisphere (which Malta is a part of) and the start of autumn for the Southern Hemisphere.

It’s safe to say that after the past freezing months, Malta could do with some warmer days…
Having said that, it seems like it’ll be a while until our temperatures get noticeably warmer. For starters, today’s weather is set to be characterised by strong winds, isolated showers, and cold temperatures.

The skies are set to turn relatively dry, yet cloudy, from Tuesday onward, however the cold doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of waning.
Are you going to miss winter?
