It’s been exactly one year since the nationwide beloved Dr Victor Calvagna tragically passed away after a traffic accident in Qawra.

Dr Calvagna was a paediatrician who throughout his career saved the lives of many young children. He was also the co-founder of the children’s cancer support group Puttinu Cares which has helped many families who had to seek treatment for illness abroad.

On the anniversary of such a tragic day, Puttinu Cares took to social media to commemorate Dr Calvagna’s life and all the incredible things he’s done during his life.

“Even though it’s been a year since you left this world, we feel you walking with us every day”, they wrote.

“Protect us from heaven. Thank you and we will never forget you”, they continued.

His wife, Carmen also took to social media to post a special poem dedicated to her husband

“Gone but never forgotten”, she wrote.

“Time passes but the memories and clinical contribution given to paediatric trainees, paediatricians and the community at large will live on”, the Malta Paediatric Association added.
