It’s back! The Farsons Beer Fest is around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited!
The Cisk brand is also celebrating its 90th birthday!

The much-awaited annual Farsons Beer Festival is one of Malta’s hottest summer celebrations, and an event which locals and visitors alike flock to every year. Running over 10 days, the summer outdoor festival brings together the best selection of beer (obvs), local music and entertainment under the stars at Ta’ Qali National Park.

Being held from Thursday 25th July to Saturday 3rd August, the Beer Fest (as everyone calls it) will feature  local and international award-winning beers, over 50 local artists and performances, and a food court offering an array of cuisines for you to choose from while sipping your beer and watching local talent hit the stage.

Spread across five areas, the festival covers as many angles of the local music scene as possible, from pop, rock and rap to ska, punk, indie and metal, guaranteeing one heck of a night with your mates! Here are some of our top picks to look out for.

5 incredible local bands to see

The Farsons Beer Festival has got you covered, with loads of great acts that will have you dancing the night away over the 10 days. The fest will have two stages, the main stage and the alternative stage, so take your pick! There are so many incredible performers to watch, you're definitely in for a great couple of nights!

1. The Travellers

The Travellers need no introduction. The Maltese-singing group of boys will definitely get your night going on Monday 29th, with famous pop tunes and heartfelt ballads.

2. The 215 Collective

The local hip-hop collective will definitely have you vibing on Sunday 28th!

3. Red Electrick

One of Malta’s most popular bands will be performing on Friday 26th July, kickstarting your weekend at Beer Fest with a bang.

4. The RIFFFS

The local band headed by X Factor judge Ray Mercieca will be buzzing at the main stage on Saturday 27th July, performing songs that will definitely get you grooving!

5. Kersten Graham

Full of soul, rhythm and blues, Kersten Graham is one to watch this year! Watch him hit the alternative stage on 2nd August!

Other bands and performers including Relikc, The New Victorians, Dav Jr, The Busker, Luke Chappell, Ben Purple, Petra, Matthew James & Band and a whole host of others will be present to really get you grooving.

Apart from these top locals, the classic (and much loved) Cisk Lager will obviously be on sale, as will other international brands like Guinness, Carlsberg, Budweiser, Corona, Beck's, Desperados, Newcastle, Kilkenny, St Austell, Hobgoblin, Baladin, Grimbergen and Kronenbourg 1664. A gluten-free Bellfield as well as a zero-alcohol version of Carlsberg and Beck’s will be available, together with a selection of cider brands. Farsons definitely have us covered!
