It keeps getting worse! Wind, sand & blood rain forecast for Malta & Gozo this Easter
Will the conditions affect the Easter processions?

Sarah Micallef

Earlier this week, it was reported that the coming Easter weekend would be a bit of a sorry affair weather-wise, with talk of hazy and windy conditions expected to reach Gale Force 8 on Easter Sunday.

And while we hoped the forecast would change over the course of the week (we are a small island after all, and the weather is changeable), it looks like the miserable weekend forecast is here to stay.

And it gets worse. According to Malta Weather earlier today, “the GALE FORCE winds expected this coming weekend will bring LOTS of airborne Sahara Desert SAND over Malta and Gozo” and “any rain is also expected to be blood rain.”

Ugh. Here's hoping it won't affect any of our beloved Easter processions!
