Is this summer or winter? Temperatures in Malta to reach a whopping 25°C high this week
While many of us usually expect colder weather at this time of the year, it looks like tomorrow is going to be a super-hot day with the temperature reaching a 25°C high according to local Facebook page ‘Temp Madwarna’.
“If the temperature […] exceeds 24.9°C it will become the warmest December on record, breaking the record set in December 1987”, ‘Maltese Islands Weather’ reported earlier this week, making this one of the hottest Decembers ever that Malta has ever experienced.
This is largely due to the very warm air moving up to Malta from the Sahara Desert, making the temperatures go as high up as 3°C to 8°C more than usual.
With that being said, the weather will return to normal for the week leading up to Christmas.
What’s your take on this crazy December weather?
