International travel photographer captures stunning shots of Malta’s quaint doors
Malta boasts various secrets that sometimes go unnoticed by the busy passer-by. Be it undiscovered holes-int-the-wall, historical architecture or carvings on walls, there’s so much to discover on the Maltese Islands.
Kit Suman, an international photographer, videographer and web designer gives attention to one such element in a recent series of shots: Malta's colourful doors. These serene shots of Maltese doors give a feel of a vibrant life as well as past lives that are long gone.
While Maltese houses are usually a yellow stone colour, they’re known to make up for it with colourful traditional doors and balconies.

Traditional Maltese doors leading into personal households would have double doors, with a matching coloured balcony, and a section of ironwork above the door adorning incredible artistry.

Other, more subtle house doors bear warmer and darker hues, still sticking to the traditional layout.

Suman also manages to capture some abandoned-looking houses that have fallen into disrepair, which are sadly found in various localities around the islands.
