If you’ve looked out of the window this morning, you’d have definitely noticed the clouds forming in our skies. You’re probably wondering whether rain will hit (and flood) our islands, and you're debating whether you should wash your filthy car or hopefully wait for some fresh rain to come, and most importantly: what the heck you’re going to wear.

Based off The Weather Channel’s weather app, here’s an hour-by-hour (yup, that detailed) report of what Malta’s weather is expected to be like today.
Temperatures will reach highs of 25°C and lows of 18°C (YAS! Cool weather, baby!). While right now it’s relatively sunny, things are about to get, well let’s say interesting. At 10am, temperatures will drop to 24°C and there’s a 60 per cent chance of rainfall.

Between 11am and 2pm, temperatures will fluctuate between 24°C and 25°C with a 60 to 70 per cent chance of thunderstorms – the first proper one of the autumn season. At 3pm, chances of thunderstorms reach 80 per cent with temperatures dropping again to 23°C. Yo, Mother Nature ain’t playing…

Between 4pm and 5pm, chances will increase again to 90 per cent and temperatures will drop further to 22°C. Then it will become cray cray at 6pm, when thunderstorm chances will reach 100 per cent and temperatures will drop to a chilly 21°C. Thanks Mother Nature - a massive thunderstorm bang in the middle of rush hour. Getting home is going to be a BLAST.

At 7pm, chances of thunderstorms will go down to 90 per cent with temperatures dropping even further to 20°C and yet again to 19°C at 8pm with chances lowering to 50 per cent. Things should calm down by 9pm, and the storms should stop by then.

Long story short: it’s going to be one stormy day, with constant (probable) rain, and a chill in the air, so you might want to bring out that cosy cardy you’ve missed over the summer.
