The mosaic can be found at the Qala Local Council’s premises.
Gozitan artist Lisa Formosa depicted a charming landscape of quaint Gozitan village Qala in a stunning mosaic mural, unveiled earlier this week.
The mural, assembled with the support of the Qala Local Council, can be viewed at the entrance of the council’s premises on Mgarr Street.
The colourful mosaic depicts a variety of landmarks found in Qala, such as the Parish Church, the Immaculate Conception Chapel, and the Ta’ Randu Windmill.
An unveiling ceremony was held this week, for which members of the local council and a delegation from the Italian island of Salina happened to be present.
“Thank you to all the Qala Local Council members for giving me this opportunity to create this piece of mosaic art,” the artist wrote.
Well done, Lisa!
