Ice-skating at Chadwick Lakes? Here's what an icy Malta MIGHT look like
Christmas may be over, but how about a new year's wish?

Jillian Mallia

Today is the coldest day of Malta's winter so far, and we’re all freezing our bums off! But, just to put things in perspective, the Facebook user responsible for last December's white Christmas in Malta photos is back at it with some mad Photoshop skills. This time, John Scicluna decided to take things to a whole new level by recreating photos of an ice-laden Malta, to put some spice into this frosty (though not really) day!

These hilarious Photoshopped images offer a glimpse of what our island would look like on a snowy and icy day. 'Frozen Chadwick Lakes' was his first creation, depicting what all kids would love to do on a snowy day – ice-skating! “Where’s the snowman?” joked one commenter.

'Drive safely. Frost in Xemxija' was his next creation, showing cars covered in ice! “Cajta goffa din siehbi!” joked one commenter, although as ever there were also a couple of Debby Downers who quickly commented, “wrong side parking!” and “fake.” Some people take life waaaay too seriously. #Letitgo

As we all know, a snow day on the Maltese Islands will just have to be wishful thinking, but what's the harm in having a little fun? Also, can we get our warm weather back now, please?

What do you think about the hilarious photos?
