A five-year-old boy has turned local policemen's hearts to mush with his sweet letter dedicated to Malta's police force.

Written in sprawling but legible handwriting, the little boy introduced himself respectfully: "Dear policemen, my name is Thomas. I am 5 years old," he wrote.

In his letter, Thomas revealed his ambition for when he grows older: "When I grow up I want to be a policeman too!" he writes enthusiastically, while adding his thanks to local policemen for their hard work.

Thomas also highlights a small wish: "I have been at home for 3 weeks because of the Coronavirus. When this is over, I would like to visit the police station," he writes.

Shared on The Malta Police Force Facebook page, the local police force revealed that while they receive many letters on a daily basis, this one proved truly special: "Thank you Thomas for your appreciation, it made our day," the caption read.

We hope your wish comes true Thomas!

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
