Hey foodies! Detroit-style pizza is FINALLY landing in St Julian’s
Great news for Maltese pizza lovers!

If you consider yourself a foodie or, at the very least, a pizza lover, then we might just be about to make your day…

Malta’s set to welcome its first-ever Detroit-style pizza joint!

That’s right – a restaurant dedicated solely to this decadent dish, aptly named ‘Detroit Style Pizza’, will be landing in St Julian’s very soon.

The restaurant’s Facebook page has already amassed over 3,000 likes, and it’s not even open yet.

Having said that, the eateries’ owners have already given us a very clear idea of the dishes we should expecting them to serve up.

From an iconic Detroit-style pie chock-full with cheese and a herby tomato sauce, to a polarising honey roast ham and pineapple pizza, pretty much all of the plates on offer look absolutely mouth-watering.

The chefs also noted that they’re using fresh and homemade sourdough for all of their pizza bases.

Apart from the pizzas, the restaurant is also set to be serving up tater tots, garnished with a truffle, bacon, Havarti cheese, and garlic aioli.

Perhaps the most American-looking dish on offer is the Cheese Burger pizza, topped with ground beef, pickles, and Cheez Whiz.

The man behind ‘Detroit Style Pizza’ is none other than Bjorn Bartolo, the restaurateur who founded beloved craft bakery-bistro Manouche.

Will you be checking out this new spot?
