Herman Vassallo fundraises for a cause close to his heart with fab celebrity-donated dresses
The local designer tragically lost his mum to cancer just five months ago.

Local designer Herman Vassallo is doing his part to spread a charitable Christmas spirit by fundraising for cancer patients through a sale of dresses donated by local celebrities. Herman posted on Facebook on Christmas eve, sharing images of local celebrities who have donated their dresses, many of which were worn for special television moments. The designer will be reselling them for €100 each to raise funds for cancer.

“FINAL CALL…All these celebrities donated their dress. Dresses were worn for special TV occasions and are for sale at €100 to raise funds for cancer. Must be sold as soon as possible get in touch. If some of my clients want to donate their dress [they] are more than welcome, just post the picture in the comments below. Please be kind and help. All income will be donated . Pvt msg me for on fb or WhatsApp 99444492”

He tragically lost his mother to the disease just five months ago. Earlier today Herman wrote: “Five months ago I lost my mother to cancer. Bah! And she was gone. No tears, no nice words, no Facebook posts and no money could have kept her with us, and she gave in. The truth is that nothing could have kept her or brought her back.

“A day does not pass where I don’t question why or whether I could have done something more. Like my mother, there are many however there are also many who have a chance to win this fight. In the name of my mum, Thank you for donating to L-Istrina”.

L-Istrina, the annual charity telethon, managed to raise over €6 million this year.
