September has made quite the entrance this year, starting with a bang – quite literally! Following this week’s thunderstorms (as welcome – or not – as they were), will our weekend be the same?
Overall, it’s about to get a little chilly as “the refreshing moderate to strong northwesterly winds expected over the next seven days or so will bring a further drop in temperature across Malta and Gozo, with highs of only 27°C to 29°C!” says local weather site Malta Weather.
But what you really want to know is what Mother Nature has in store for us this weekend...
Isolated showers are expected today, (Friday) with highs of 29°C and lows of 23°C, with chances of thunderstorms being at 15 per cent. Tomorrow (Saturday) will experience highs of 28°C and lows of 21°C and will just be a little cloudy, but no rain is forecast. Sunday is pretty much the same, with highs of 25°C and lows of 15°C, with a six per cent chance of rainfall. So you might want to carry a cardy with you as the evening chill is starting to kick in.
Don’t be fooled, though kids! The UV Index is still at a sold mark six even though the weather is a bit iffy.
