We can finally use our fav expression: "winter has come." In true Jon Snow fashion, we're feeling that chill with the cold weather that is gracing the Maltese Islands this week! If you’re heading out, here’s what you need to know when planning your outfits...
“A blast of cold air from the north will be reaching the central Mediterranean this week,” says Maltese Islands Weather in a new weather announcement. “This will force the warm and humid air locally to rise, leading to the development of successive troughs of low pressure. This will bring a spell of wintry weather to the Maltese Islands.” Brr, baby!
“Most days next week will see rain and/or hail showers which will be briefly heavy and thundery at times. The wind will increase ahead of and during showers. Despite this, rainfall totals will not be very high. This is because most showers will be brief. No severe thunderstorms are anticipated. We will also experience a wind shift to the Northwest as well. The Northwest wind will be rather strong on all days this week, reaching Force 5/6 at some point everyday.”
Malta Weather also announced the wintry weather, describing it as quite “miserable” this week. “We’re expecting strong winds up to gale force at times, rain showers that may be thundery and temperatures feeling as cold as 7°C this week as winter gets closer.” X’inhu?! Time to bring out those fluffy scarves!
Wrap up tight, folks!
