Luckily, no Air Malta flights have been cancelled.
A number of Air Malta flights travelling between Malta and France this weekend have been disrupted by a French Air Traffic Control (ATC) strike.
Said strike commenced this morning at 6am and is set to last until tomorrow 17th September at 6am.
Luckily, no Air Malta flights have been cancelled because of this, although a few have had their departure times shifted. These are the affected Air Malta flights:
- KM 479 (Paris CDG to Malta) will now depart at 6am on 17th September
- KM 467 (Paris ORY to Malta) will now depart at 6am on 17th September
- KM 454 (Malta to Lyon) will now depart at 2:30am on 17th September
- KM 455 (Lyon to Malta) will now depart at 6am on 17th September
The national carrier apologised for any inconvenience caused.
The Malta International Airport went on to warn travellers journeying between Malta and France this weekend to contact their airlines for more information about whether their flight will be affected.
Flight status can also be checked via the Malta International Airport’s online arrivals and departures page.
The French ATC strike is affecting thousands of passengers all over Europe. According to the BBC, this has caused Ryanair to cancel a whopping 420 flights, thus affecting 80,000 passengers, EasyJet to cancel 76 flights, and British Airways to cancel 22.
