Heads up! Lunchtime breaks for Valletta Ferries on Christmas & New Year’s Day
Festive ferry update!

Francesca Vella

If you’re planning to hop on a ferry over the festive season, here’s a quick heads-up to help you plan ahead.

On Christmas Day (25 December) and New Year’s Day (1 January), both the Sliema–Valletta Ferry Service and the Three Cities Ferry Service will be taking a short lunchtime break. Services on both routes will be paused between 12:00 and 16:00 on these two days.

There’s good news for New Year’s Eve, though. To help late-night revellers get home safely, ferry services will be running later than usual on 31 December, with the last trips operating until 1:00 am on Thursday, 1 January.

As always, it’s a good idea to plan your journey in advance, especially during the busy holiday period, and allow a little extra time where possible.

Safe travels!
