Heads up! Extended ferry service & road closures in Valletta for this Saturday’s Notte Bianca
If you're planning to attend the festivities, make sure to plan ahead!

This Saturday, 4th October, Valletta will once again come alive with Notte Bianca – one of Malta’s biggest and most anticipated cultural nights of the year. The capital city will transform into a festival of music, art, and performance, drawing thousands of visitors to its streets and squares.

If you’re planning to head to Valletta to soak in the atmosphere, here’s what you need to know:

Road Closures

  • Internal roads in Valletta will be closed to traffic from 4:30pm until 1:00am.
  • No entry will be permitted from Triq Girolamo Cassar (near Auberge de Castille).
  • Entry from Great Siege Road (near Phoenicia Hotel) will also be closed, except for residents and emergency services.
  • It-Telgħa tal-Kurċifiss, the road leading from Floriana to the Valletta Waterfront, will remain open as usual.

Extended Fast Ferry Service

Good news for Gozitans! The fast ferry service between Mgarr and Valletta will be running later than usual to accommodate festivalgoers, with the last sailing from Mgarr to Valletta at 23:30 hrs (4th October), and the last sailing from Valletta to Mgarr at 00:30 hrs (5th October).
