If you plan to visit the capital over Carnival weekend here something to keep in mind! To protect the handmade Carnival floats from the strong winds blowing over the islands in the coming days, they will be taking the place of the buses usually parked at the Valletta Ditch. For this reason, from 13th to 17th February (until 18:00), several bus routes that normally terminate in Valletta will operate from Triq San Publiju and Fosos ta’ San Ġakbu in Floriana.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and consider using public transport to avoid delays.
