Gozo lovers rejoice! A new government scheme has just been announced for tourists and it’s a good one! Tourists to visit Gozo for more than 10 days can stay at one of the 140 participating properties around Malta’s sister island and will receive a 30% discount of up to €300 on their reservation.

This applies if you are visiting Gozo between the 15th of October 2023 to the 15th of March 2024.

The plan, which was included in the Budget for 2023, aims to draw high-calibre visitors to Gozo all year round. Government funding will make up to 80% of the discount, with 20% coming from the private sector.

To entice visitors to come back in the summer, the private operators will also give them an additional 10% voucher when they make their reservation.

In a recent press release, Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri said that Gozo has traditionally had a high rate of return visitors, which has recently surpassed 50%.

Four- and five-star hotels, boutique hotels, self-catering villas, and farms are among the participating properties.
