Heading for an afternoon dip? Avoid bays on this side of the Maltese Islands today
Many of the Islands’ beaches aren’t recommended for swimming this Friday.

It’s hot out there, and now’s about the time we’re all thinking of heading out for a cheeky afternoon dip!

But before you get those trunks on, WAIT! Do you know which beach you’re heading to? If you were thinking of winging it, we’re sorry to say – today’s not the day! According to today’s Recommended Bays by local weather information page Maltese Islands Weather, a full section of Malta and Gozo’s coast isn’t recommended for swimming today.

The map above shows the best and most sheltered bays to get the most out of your afternoon swim this Friday, based on the areas which are most likely to be free from jellyfish and adverse weather conditions.
