Il-Festi it-Tajba!

Happy New Year everyone! As we welcome in what is hopefully going to be a better 2021, one thing that is surely on everyone’s minds is when our long list of public holidays are falling and incidentally how many long weekends are ahead of us. Here’s the full list!

1. Feast of St Paul: Wednesday 10th February

2. St Joseph’s Day: Friday 19th March (long weekend, babyyy!)

3. Freedom Day: Wednesday 31st March

4. Good Friday: Friday 2nd April (this one’s a given long weekend)

5. Worker’s Day: Saturday 1st May (boooo!)

6. Sette Giugno: Monday 7th June (long weekend, babyyy!)

7. Feast of St Peter and St Paul/L-Imnarja: Tuesday 29th June (we can technically bridge this one)

8. Assumption of Mary/Santa Marija: Sunday 15th August

9. Victory Day: Wednesday 8th September

10. Independence Day: Tuesday 21st September (we can technically bridge this one, too)

11. Feast of the Immaculate Conception: Wednesday 8th December

13. Republic Day: Monday 13th December (long weekend, babyyy!)

There you have it, folks. We’ve got three long weekends ahead of us (excluding the obvious Easter weekend) along with two possibilities to bridge for an extra long weekend should we need it. Only two public holidays will fall on a weekend while another two will fall on a Wednesday – great mid-week break, I guess.
