X’inhu helu! This hedgehog, or qanfud in Maltese, was saved by a kind-hearted local police sergeant who came across the little one entangled in an abandoned bird trapping net.

“Saved this creature from certain death today… was taken to a vet for checks then released back [into] the wild,” he shared in a local nature group on Facebook.

The qanfud seems to have been scared to be in that situation, and photos after he got checked out by the vet show he’s in a much better state now. Run free, little one!
