Guilty! 7 all-too-real stages that totally describe us Maltese in this heat
Accurate AF.

It’s sweltering outside – we’ve established this. And us Maltese, while loving summer, tend to go a little overboard with the dramatics when it comes to Mother Nature’s choice of temperature (especially). Here are seven stages that every Maltese person goes through each year. There’s simply no two ways about it. #Inevitable.

1. Wooo summer, baby!

YAS! Sun’s out buns out baby. We’re finally getting some much-needed sun after a cold winter, so we’re loving the change in temp. You can find us by the pool sipping our fave cocktail.

2. Uwijja! It's not that bad!

We can handle this weather. We’ve done it before and so far so good!

3. Sun gear: check!

Okay, it’s getting real. Time to stay protected: sunnies out, sunblock on – we’re good to go!

4. Temps are rising!

Mother Nature is turning up the heat and we’re not too happy about it. We’re getting that all-too-familiar feeling of suffocation and stickiness.

5. Sweating

Okay, nope. This is TOO MUCH. We’re sweating in places we didn’t know we could even produce sweat from! Mother Nature, whatcha doin’?

6. We're on fire

Ixghel hemm, bro! We really can't take this heat anymore. Air conditioners are working overtime to cool every room in the house and office, making sure we stay cool and happy.

7. The complaints

“Ugh, it’s so hot,” and “ugh I’m so sticky” are really popular phrases uttered at this time of year. But “I wish it was winter again” probably takes the cake. #Neverhappy

Are you feeling the heat?
